SUNDAY, OCT. 15th, 2-4 pm
Join the Friends of Ellenwood Park for a Campfire and Marshmallow Roast. Come and experience a classic Canadian outdoor tradition beside our beautiful lake. Park at the Mood Road gate and take a leisurely 15 minute walk down to the children’s playground. The fire pit is right across from the ski cabin. Newcomers to the area are most welcome! Marshmallows (halal) and toasting sticks will be provided. Bring a story to share and be sure to bring the kids! We’ll bring out the trolley skis for an extra bit of fun! **This event is weather dependent and will be cancelled if it’s too windy or wet.
The FOEP will be hosting another classic bonfire at the Park (complete with marshmallows;-) on Sunday, November 12th, from 2 to 4 pm. These are ‘child friendly’ Sunday afternoons so that the whole family can attend, weather permitting. More details will be posted early each month. In the mean time, hold those dates!
Did you know that “no wax” skis actually DO need wax? Now’s your chance to find out more and learn HOW TO prepare for perfect skiing this winter! We are planning to host a ski waxing demo on November 25th at the Rec. Complex in Hebron. Check back here for details.
