The Friends of Ellenwood Park have closed the ski cabin for the season. Not much snow this winter, unfortunately… but many of you took FULL advantage of it while it lasted! We loaned out equipment to 132 borrowers, most of whom were new to skiing:-) Next winter we will have size 13 & 14 ski boots for you big guys who’ve been wanting to ski, but couldn’t find boots to fit.
But before then, we have a few things planned. The FOEP will be hosting 3 classic bonfires at the Park (complete with marshmallows;-) on September 10th, October 15th and November 12th, from 2 to 4 pm. These are ‘child friendly’ Sunday afternoons so that the whole family can attend, weather permitting. More details will be posted at the beginning of September. In the mean time, hold those dates!
We will also be taking part in the upcoming SWITCH Open Streets events which take place downtown on Main Street on the last Sunday of September and October, so watch for us there.
Enjoy the spring weather! Until next time;-)
