Beginning in the wee small hours of Tuesday morning, November 8th, there will be a lunar eclipse to look out for. The heavenly show is set to begin shortly after 5:00 am as the moon gets darker and more red in colour. By 6:15 the eclipse will start in earnest! As long as the sky is clear we might get a good long look – at least until the sun appears at 7:00 am and upstages the moon’s performance.
And all this week the Taurid meteor shower will make an appearance in the early morning sky too! What more can you ask for? Get your telescopes set up and keep your fingers crossed for a cloudless sky. You can sleep in some other time;-)
